SJPH & implementation evidence

CLARITY · CONSISTENCY · TRACEABILITY

MORE THAN A DOCUMENT EXERCISE

Readiness connects
the file with the floor.

A product list is useful only when it reflects what is actually made. Supplier records need to match materials received. Written procedures need to connect with the way your team works.

Mosta helps you organise the preparation work: understand the starting point, identify missing evidence, and turn the agreed priorities into a practical action plan.

The scope is tailored to your business, products, facilities, and certification context.

WHEN THIS SUPPORT IS USEFUL

Start with a baseline review.

A baseline review can help identify the records, people, and processes that need attention.

Topics to clarify:

  • Business & product scope
  • Materials & suppliers
  • Process & facilities
  • People & responsibilities
  • SJPH documentation
  • Internal review & follow-up

This checklist organises a conversation. It is not an audit, a compliance score, or a certification decision. Selections stay on this page and are not sent with your enquiry.

A CLEAR DIVISION OF RESPONSIBILITY

Preparation support.
Official decisions.

The preparation service sits alongside the applicable official certification process. Your business remains responsible for accurate information and implementation.

Mosta

Preparation planning, document organisation, practical reviews, and coordination within the agreed engagement.

Your business

Accurate product and material information, access to evidence, internal ownership, implementation, and official submissions or authorisations.

Authorised institutions

Official examination or verification, halal determination, and certificate issuance through the relevant certification route.

Regular or self-declare? Start with the applicable criteria.

The relevant route depends on your business and product circumstances. Self-declare is subject to eligibility conditions and required verification; it is not automatically available to every business. We can help organise the information needed to clarify the appropriate route.

For current official information, consult BPJPH’s SIHALAL guidance and the SIHALAL portal.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

A few useful
clarifications.

Understand what preparation support involves before deciding on the next step.

Does Mosta issue halal certificates?
Mosta provides preparation and readiness support within an agreed scope. Official examination, halal determination, and certificate issuance remain with the authorised institutions through the applicable process.
What is the difference between preparation and an official audit?
Preparation helps organise records, review processes, and follow up gaps before an official assessment. A readiness review or simulation by Mosta does not replace the official examination by an authorised Halal Inspection Body (LPH), or other verification required for the applicable route.
Can you help us decide between regular and self-declare routes?
We can review your business and product context and identify questions to confirm against current official criteria. Self-declare is available only where the applicable eligibility conditions are met; it is not a route every business can choose. Relevant authorised parties confirm requirements and eligibility.
What if our documents are incomplete?
That is a useful starting point. We can map what exists, list missing evidence, and agree priorities and responsibilities. Your team supplies accurate business and product information and implements the agreed operational changes.
How long does preparation take, and what does it cost?
Scope and fees depend on products, materials, sites, documentation quality, team availability, and the gaps identified. We agree deliverables and a preparation schedule after the initial review. Official processing time and third-party fees are discussed separately where relevant.
Does readiness support guarantee certification?
No. Readiness work helps organise preparation and address identified gaps. Approval depends on the applicable requirements, evidence, official examination or verification, and decisions of the authorised institutions.
Can you support an existing certified business?
We can discuss support for internal documentation, supplier or product changes, implementation records, and internal follow-up. Any official reporting, change, or renewal requirements must be confirmed for your current certification scope.
